Otterly Adorable Birthday Card

I had an otterly fun time making this card! This otter's name is now Walter. I thought he needed a name so I asked my daughter what his name is and that is what she says it is.

As soon as I saw the Winter Otter Stamp set I immediately fell in love with it (S) but Walter is too cute to just be a winter otter. My daughter and I love to watch the otters at our zoo as they play, they are just so cute, both in and out of the water.

To make this card you will need crafting sisters who share supplies with you! One sister gave me the water drop paper that I thought went so well with the otter theme. My other sister gave me the ribbon that matches so perfectly with the paper.

I used Nuvo alcohol markers (S) to color Walter. Although I colored him several days and cards ago, I think I used 473, 479 and 461 on his body, and 449 for his cheeks. For his scarf, I started with 360 and layered 425 on top. After it dried I added a layer of 427.

Walter and two stamps from the inside sentiment are from Lawn Fawn Winter Otter stamp set (S). Happy Birthday sentiment is Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Sayings: Birthday (S).

Dotted outline around Walter is from Endless Creations Top Note Lines & Dots stamp set (EC). The die cut was made using Paper Cut Top Note Layering Dies (PC). I added craft foam behind the die cut.

Gingham paper is from Pebbles Basics paper pad (HL). I edged the die cut and inside white cardstock with mermaid lagoon distress ink (S). I made the card base with Paper Cut Top Note Card Making Die (PC) and Paper Studio Textured Dark Cardstock (HL).

Have an otterly good day!

Julie
