Waves of the Sea - Psalm 93:4

The Psalm 93:4 stamp is from a lovely stamp set called Psalms of the Sea by Technique Junkies. I stamped the verse with Nocturne Versa-fine Claire ink on cardstock I inked with distress inks. Next, I edged it with peacock feathers distress ink. I layered that on top of teal cardstock. I added a piece of craft foam on the back.

I cut a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" strip from a sheet of the waves paper from Pink & Main's Beach Babe 6x6 paper pad, and then fussy cut the top waves. I layered that on top of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of bright pink patterned paper from Entirely Textures 12x12 paper pad. I layered that piece on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of teal cardstock. Then I glued it to a white card.

I adhered the verse to the top of the card on the left side. I added 3 white pearls to the top right. I didn't quite like how that looked so I added 3 more little pearls and colored them all with a #453 Paradise Pink nuvo alcohol marker.

I love how summery this card looks with the pink and teal. I did not start out with pink in mind to use with the waves paper but then I found pre-inked teal and pink cardstock.

I inked cardstock on a trip back in February and it has been so beneficial to me. It didn't take up too much room or weight in my suitcase. I had fun being creative with only a few supplies available. I still have a few pieces of that inked cardstock left so I'm sure I'll be using more of it.

Blessings,

Julie
