From the Vault

I recently used this card from my stash. It's been hiding in there a long time. I used a layout I saw in a Take Ten magazine.

The main image is from a Graphic 45 paper. I also used text paper with square brads turned to make diamonds. I layered paper flowers adhered with a brad to complete the card. The card base is from The Paper Studio.

I am excited to see a trend of pretty vintage images and papers coming back. I've recently seen text on papers and embossing folders, similar to what I used in this card.

I still like how this card turned out, although it's interesting to figure out how I would change it. If I were to make it now, I would use my deckle edge scissors to trim the text paper. Then, I would ink those edges with distress ink, as well as ink the edges of the flowers. Those are only minor changes and overall I still love how it looks.

I need to use some of my other cards that have also been locked up in my card vault for far too long. When I do, I'll try to remember to take pictures to post.

Blessings,

Julie
