His Feathers

Hi Crafting Friends! I'm finally beginning to use some of my new supplies from the Adventures in Stamping convention.

The edge die is from the fabulous Elegant Edges Die set found at Jillian Vance's booth. We just adore Jillian and her family. One of the fun things at conventions is getting to know the people behind the products.

The His Feathers bookmark stamp is also a Jillian Vance Design. I fell in love with and bought it last year, but never found a way I wanted to use it on a card. I like how the edge die used in the middle of the card gives this tall skinny stamp an interesting placement, rather than just looking stuck on.

The patterned paper is from Pink and Main's Be Brave 6x6 paper pad. Behind the stamped image, I used some cool leathery navy paper from The Paper Cut.

For finishing touches, I inked the edges with chipped sapphire distress ink and then glued everything to a white card base.

I loved how easy it was to make two cards at the same time, since the edge die has fancy edges on both sides of the cut line. That detail is not easy to see in the pictures but shows nicely in person.
