So Otterly Adorable

We love to visit the otters at our zoo, so when I saw the adorable Winter Otter stamp set by Lawn Fawn (S) I knew it was a set I wanted to have. I also bought the matching dies (S), but the otters do look pretty easy to fussy cut.

I made two otters, mostly to practice coloring them. Even though I haven't previously liked coloring I find that using my Tonic Nuvo creative pens (MMI/S) makes it easier. The creative pens are one of my favorite new products this year. I wish a few of the sets matched colors a little better, particularly the green set, but overall I am very pleased with them. They are the first alcohol pens I've gotten.

The cute sentiment of cozy winter wishes make these good tags for Starbucks gift cards. Although the paper came from a Christmas paper pad it doesn't have all traditional colors, so these tags could easily be for Christmas or even for an encouraging gift in January.
