Hope of the World

I got the beautiful graphic 45 Winter Wonderland 8 x 8" (S) and St. Nicholas 6 x 6" (S) paper pads to make my Christmas cards and tags. The paper is so beautiful, I think I will be doing a lot of 'letting the paper do the work' for me.

For this card I just used part of one sheet of the main focal point papers (3 in each pad), cut with my deckle edge scissors and edged with gathered twigs Distress Ink. I die cut 'Hope' from paper out of the St. Nicholas pad, as well as from craft foam. I adhered the two die cuts together and glued them down on the card. I think I'm done, but I may add a pearl at the top left - if I can't just leave it alone!

I die cut the gift card holder from a cut-aparts sheet in the Winter Wonderland pad. I used my A Jillian Vance Design {die}signer Pocket Die for the gift card holder. This is a die I am so thankful I picked up because I use it over and over again. (Psst, it's on sale, today, November 18.) I carefully lined up the die so I could get that picture framed on the front of the gift card holder. I adhered it to the card with temporary adhesive in case the recipient wants to leave their gift card in it.

I hand-lettered the verse and Merry Christmas. I was wishing I had a stamp for that verse, or that I had been practicing my lettering on a more regular basis, as I was writing the verse out!

May the One whose name is the Hope of the all the world bless you during this Christmas season,

Julie
