Letting the Paper do the Work

This beautiful paper in the 'By the Shore Collection' from Our Daily Bread was the inspiration for this card. I used a stamp from ODB's Surging Sea stamp set.

To show off the stamp I first made a background piece from a few different colors of Distress Oxide inks. Next, I stamped the verse on white cardstock. I used foam tape to raise the sentiment to give it a little depth. I cut one corner with my Fiskars Blossom corner edgers scissors to make it look like waves.

I used Chipped Sapphire distress ink to edge everything. To complete the card I drew birds in the sky with my Sharpie Pen. I used sand colored heavyweight cardstock for the base.
